The winter program is supplemented by an additional course on French Institutions and culture and supervised community service.
The course is taught in French/English, depending on language skills. It deals with the major issues at stake in French society and the way they are met by institutions and associations. It complements students volunteer activities, linking traditional learning and experimentation.
You will be required to submit a report on your community service work and an essay on a specific aspect of your experience in France.
The social service activities are organized according to the requirements of our partner associations, the requests of the participating students, their abilities and aspirations and after studying their application forms.
Typical partner associations provide services to children, the elderly, and handicapped individuals, including visits, tutoring, arts and recreation, and other activities provided on site.
